1. How much does it cost?
There is charge of $20 plus booking fee. This fee covers one full day of bus travel.
2. Is it cheaper than a Taxis?
Yes! A Taxis to or from the end of the Cargo Rd Wine Trail can cost around $50.
3. How does the Hop-On Hop-Off bus work?
The bus follows a set route with multiple stops at participating Cellar Doors along Cargo Road. You can hop on and off as many times as you like throughout the day.
4. Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, we highly recommend booking in advance to secure your spot.
5. Can I book tickets on the bus?
No, the driver can not take payment for tickets, these need to be purchased online.
6. What days/times does the bus start and finish?
The bus is operating on Saturday the 29th of March and Saturday April 5th. A separate ticket is needed for each day. The first pick-up is at 10.40am, and the last bus arrives in Orange around 5.20pm. Exact timing for arrivals/departures for each stop varies, please see our timetable for further details.
7. How often does the bus arrive at each stop?
The bus will be doing 4 runs out and back throughout the day, this schedule allows approx 1.5hrs at each stop (or longer if desired). See the timetable for further details
8. Are wine tastings included in my bus ticket?
No, wine tastings need to be booked at each location separately. See our home page for details on participating Cellar Doors.
9. What if I am late/early for mt wine tasting based on the bus timetable?
All participating Cellar Doors are aware of some flexibility needed with the timetable so no stress! If you are running significantly early/late just let the Cellar Door and they will do their best to accommodate a new time.
10. Can I bring wine purchases onto the bus?
Yes! Many wineries offer storage-friendly packaging so you can bring your purchases along.
11. Are children/pets allowed?
This service is primarily designed for adults enjoying wine tastings. However, children are allowed. Pets are not allowed on the bus.
12. Is the bus wheelchair accessible?
Please contact us in advance to discuss accessibility needs, as not all stops may be fully accessible.
13. What happens if I miss the last bus?
Make sure to check the schedule and set a reminder for the last departure. If you miss it, you’ll need to arrange alternative transport (such as a taxi or rideshare).
14. What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations made 5 days in advance are eligible for a refund or rescheduling.
